Isleton History Museum

This building was contructed in 1926, after a fire destroyed all of the buildings on Main Street.  It was purchased by the San Francisco Bing Kong Tong (BKT) in 1934 and occupied by the Isleton branch of the Tong.  The 1st floor was used for a Chinese Language School.  Students came here following a day in public school.  The Isleton BKT met on the 2nd floor.   The services they provided to the community were: assistance for Chinese residents, worship, a playground and a place for community meetings.

In 1994, the property was deeded to the newly formed Isleton Brannan-Andrus Historical Society (IBAHS).  During the past 27 years, they have completed its renovation and maintained the museum.  We wish to extend our deepest gratitude to the many members of the IBAHS for their donated time and energy of this valuable educational resource for Isleton!
